I downloaded Windows 3.1 from some abandonware site and it ran flawlessly on DOSBox.

What I'm concerned with now are suggestions on what to run on this newly-installed Windows 3.1 system, like Windows-only games and Windows-only applications.

So far, I've installed Quattro Pro, Wordperfect 6, and Filemaker Pro. Looking for Wordperfect Presentations. Now I know this isn't a request board, but I'm not requesting; I'm trying to start a thread of suggestions and discussions on what software that you think I should install.

Remember, I'm running Windows 3.1, and I don't want anything to do with Windows 95 and up, just 3.1.

Which apps were your favourites back then?
Well, to start off the conversation, this is where I got Windows 3.1 and most of the software that I installed: http://vetusware.com

You need to register, and it is a bitch sometimes as you have a wait a day after your quota is met.

If you want to check out another site, here's Win World: http://winworldpc.com/
My favorites were band in a box and musicator. I used to dabble with corel draw too. But I have no idea where to get those old versions. Also wolfenstein, civilization, doom, and all those classic games, but they all run in dosbox without win 3.1, and knowing you I reckon you're already playing them.

Mad props tho. Post some screenshots
What kinds of screenshots do you want me to post?

Website? Windows 3.1?

Well, thanks for the reply anyways. I thought this thread would die immediately. Now it'll just die quickly. Smile

If you mean just games, go here: http://www.myabandonware.com/

It's all you need at the moment.
