Hi
Is it possible to download games straight into Virtualbox where there isn't any Norton Anti-Virus protection, I have it on the main operating system.

If the game can play in here and there is something noughty inside it, will it stay in Virtualbox untill I re-install V/B or delete the game from within there.

Thanks a lot

You can run a client inside the virtualbox container to do the downloading, but that isn't necessary.

Download it outside of virtualbox and then execute it inside the container. Just be sure to exclude your download directory first so Norton doesn't mess with it.

OK Moe
Its just that quite a few of my downloads from Pirate Bay have a surprise or two in them. If a trogen should be there, will Virtual box contain it from the rest of the operating system.

Thanks.

Yes - be sure to limit or disconnect any shared drives and folders.

Thanks again for that. I'll give it a try and see what happens. I wish I had known this a few years ago as I occasionally try for games to download but Norton is there ready to alert me to anything unsavoury.

Thanks.

Michael.
