Angry Angry

Any suggestions on bypassing this bs?
1. Get TOR

2. http://uj3wazyk5u4hnvtk.onion/

3. Profit! ‌ ‌ [Image: tongue3.gif]
I'm not very computer orientated. Would a VPN not be a better option as it says on the Tor site that it's not designed for Bittorrent. That link you sent doesn't work. Is that for the Tor site?
Consider TOR a free VPN that can't be blocked. ‌ Use TOR to get to TPB's .onion address.

Australia doesn't block TOR or Bittorrent so they can't stop you finding downloads on TPB,
you don't need to use TOR for downloads and, unlike a VPN, doing this is completely free. ‌ ‌ Cool

Thank you for the advice. I'll give it a go once the normal routes get blocked. Probably will be back here asking for more advice on how to set this all up. As I said previously, when it comes to computer programs I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Like other countries around the world whose nanny governments have blocked TPB, you'll find proxies and mirrors springing up once the blockade is in place. You can use tor to upload, browse, leave comments etc but for downloading stuff, it's worth investing in a decent VPN - then your IP is hidden from everyone.

Torrentfreak's 2016 VPN review, well worth a read if you're considering getting a VPN:

I'm using TOR at the moment the ban is now in affect in Australia. very easy workaround

How well does it work for downloading torrents? I was reading on the Tor website that Tor is recommended for uploading but not downloading?

tor should not be used for torrenting at all.  Nevermind that you can't just upload and not download with bittorrent.

The only thing that is blocked is access to TPB's web site.  tor is a way to bypass that block.

Continue using your bittorrent client as you were before the block was put into place.
Probably sounding ignorant now but as I understand Tor will be the web browser. I use this to get to TPB and then up/download as normal.
