We use whatever's convenient. Some people use torrents; most people use Mega because it's more reliable for just getting the download smoothly and some people have ISPs that block BT usage.
hey guys!
A little late, just want to say hello, and that the great community here helped me rebuild the collection when my old external hard drive shit the bed. I'll try to help out whenever possible.

PS: I absolutely LOVE your picture BadFilms! Makes me smile every time I see it.

Ha... Thanks. Glad to hear it. (And thanks for already helping out. Seems like a lot of long-time uploaders have been deleting their files lately and I need to do an audit of what I have to start uploading to fill the gaps.)
Hi Everyone! Glad I found this place so I can fix up my collection.
Recent lurker, longtime MiSTIE, first post.

Just wanted to thank everyone for circulating and even improving the tapes. I've bought the first 150+ shorts and a bunch of VODs but in these times I can't afford to frivolously spend (except in the occasion rifftrax.com/donate), this makes all of this even more valuable.

Now I'm trying to fill the holes in the my collection, which I will exhaust the forum search BEFORE making requests Smile

I do have one question for those that use Plex (as I do). Only one short fails to show, regardless of naming scheme or even converting it to a fresh file (I've been recompressing everything in h.265 to save on space and quality hasn't really dropped at all), that short is Courtesy, a Good Eggsample. I followed the normal naming schemes (I use periods instead of spaces but I have tried it with spaces) and it fails to ever show, it's an awful visual gap. I've redownloaded the original mpeg from my RiffTrax account in attempts to resolve it, but that didn't affect it.

Plex examples (doesn't matter if it's the original .mpg extension or not):

RiffTrax-S03E0117-Courtesy.A.Good.Eggsample.480p.h265.mkv
RiffTrax-S03E117-Courtesy.A.Good.Eggsample.480p.h265.mkv
RiffTrax - S03E0117 - Courtesy A Good Eggsample 480p h265.mkv
RiffTrax - S03E117 - Courtesy A Good Eggsample 480p h265.mkv

I did find another person on Google having the same issue but it never appeared resolved. Thetvdb is the highest in Agent order, is on, etc., all the usual Plex caveats for proper matching and metadata. I just find it strange that this particular MKB short does this.

Lastly, an observation, I have found a few movies, even freshly downloaded from their site, that have some little corruption (occasional issues with some frames, or header issues, things like that) on occasion and I've left them in their original form (#78 Missile to the Moon 3 Riffer original, Summer Shorts Beach Party 2017 480p in an avi container, the 1080p Freddie Steps Out). Their playback is fine, of course, but converting them results in any of the "bad" frames being cut which of course isn't fun for any of us. Maybe streaming those to a fresh file as an intermediate step then encoding them? As I mentioned, the quality drop really isn't there (I'm not walking up to the TV to check pixel definition but 10-12 ft. away from a 55" TV everything looks as it should (watching the 1080p Missile X right now and I can practically write a visual Biography on Peter Graves, the quality is fine).

Anyway, thanks again for all the good you guys do and I look forward to seeing more funny stuff heading our way (especially from Bridget and Mary Jo, they've been on a roll with their riffs).

I had the same issue for a while, then I discovered that it's because of something in the title that is a reserved Plex word (might have been "sample"). Anyway, I just named it "RiffTrax - S03E117" (without quotes, of course) and all is well.
Holy moly, that worked! I changed Eggsample to Eggzample and voila.  Thanks a bunch!  I'm pretty sure *[sS]ample* is ignored because of the sample files included in some movie and TV torrents.
Mine has been matched up forever with theTVDB as "S03E117 - Courtesy - A Good Eggsample 12-28-10_x264.mp4". Glad yours is finally working but you'd have to do a zero byte 'plexignore' file in the same directory to have it ignore something containing 'sample'...it won't ignore stuff automatically. Sometime Plex is pretty weird on what matches and what doesn't but usually I have more of a problem with movies.
Hi everyone!

I have been making use of this forum for a while, and am very grateful, hopefully I can contribute one day.

It's like I know you all, there are certainly some familiar names I have seen around the torrent or newsgroup sites.

Anyway, I created an account to says thanks and help where I can.
