Hi all,

My company needs to purchase a non-free DVD encoding software product to convert DVD's to avi's, mpg's, etc.

Ideally the software should:
- REQUIREMENT - Convert DVDs (and BluRay's) to avi's, mpg's, etc. using H264 and modern codecs.
- REQUIREMENT - Simple almost one-click operation.
- REQUIREMENT - We need as simple an interface as possible while allowing for HD/1080p/720p high quality output. The kind of high quality output like YIFY's uploads.
- OPTIONAL - Perform DVD/BluRay authoring.

What do you all recommend?

Money is not a problem and we need it to be a simple to use product (have to get low-level plebs to do the encoding).

Thanks a lot!
It appears you have come to this forum blind, with virtually no understanding of what you request.

"Simple almost one-click operation'
Encoding isn't a "one click" operation. It requires comprehension or it's being treated as just a game that any "pleb" could do.

"The kind of high quality output like YIFY's uploads"
Contradiction in terms dude.

Why pay money for a program you intend to misuse?
There are plenty of free options to create the trash you desire.
Try Handbrake: www.handbrake.fr

Free and will do what you may want, DVDs and Blu Rays.
My apologies gcjm, I indeed should have done some reading before posting my question.
Thanks to the tutorials in the Handbrake Encoder Software; I'm a bit wiser now, thank you.

Many thanks to RobertX for your suggestion, I showed it to the manager in charge of getting the encoding done and he liked it.
I compressed a few DVD's with it and the quality was almost identical to the original DVD!

Much appreciated guys!
Glad that we are of help. That's the important thing!

EDIT: And welcome to SuprBay!

EDIT: If you are using Handbrake for commercial films, make sure that you are using AnyDVD so as to block out any protection that may come from the DVD/Blu-Ray.
