Well, I used Ridata and I can't manage to get a single successful burn.
I've used abgx360 for Stealth patching and Imgburn for burning.

Actually I don't think it's snoberry at all. You have to keep in mind that the xbox360 is a very old piece of hardware, it's very possible that a lot of the disc brands that exist today didn't exist back when the first models came out and as such those old disc drives might not support them.
Olso it wouldn't surprise me at all if companies like microsoft, sony, etc. have deals with certain dvd manufacturers, maybe something like "We'll make sure our optical units support only your brands, and in return you give us a better price when buying your product" or something like that?
