Still hoping to find "Sherifi" (Finnish) in the Vares series.
YouTube has some Vares series previews and I wouldn't mind trying any to see if the vibe suits me (Finnish films generally suit me but who knows).

FWIW I found "The Sheriff" at Ext.to. There are 3 Seeders. It's unclear if this has English subs but Subscene.com has a number.

Synopsis -
Jussi Vares finds two bodies on the outskirts of Turku: a woman who has been shot in the head, and a man whose body is full of cuts resembling runes, which suggest that the murder was part of a dark ritual. A year later, Vares is hired to investigate these murders. The wires lead Vares towards the invisible godfather, the Sheriff, who controls the underworld of Turku.
