This tracker will be more decentralized than the existing platform and will allow information sharing in real time. A constant barrage of Russian disinformation concerning its war of conquest in Ukraine has shown the need for this new tracker:

Russians mostly don't use trackers. The disinformation is mostly ment for the Russians. So very little effect will come from this effort. Same goes with the Chinese. They will see more, but they don't care. Those people just want their day to day living to get better. No matter what Russians or Americans do. Chinese leaders are the pilots of the Chinese war machine. And there are enough people to support a world class army with just typical patriotic draft requirements. Russians are abit more squeezed on the people count. So they spread more misinformation to drum up extra patriotism. Hopefully Billions is not spent on these "trackers". Than would be a sad waste.

I'm open to the idea of fighting forged content created to mislead.
However in current context, it looks more like EU creating a platform for supporting their own narrative, which makes EU no different than Russia.
