When I tested the game's multiplayer feature in LAN mode, neither computer can see other in the lobby mode.
Did I do something wrong?
EDIT: By the way, I'm testing it on the plain-vanilla retail version of the game.

Just did some digging and found a post in Reddit that suggested that I choose the same operating systems that did my issue in.
Other things that helped was my realisation that Homeworld, although being a game year, was already remade as its classic editions were in the latter 90s (like 98-ish).
What solved the problem was that I deployed a Windows XP VM on each machine. That solved my problem.
Thanks for trying to help though. I will derive years of enjoyment to finding out who was going to help and thank them.
