You could try looking for your shows at other established video hosts like dailymotion and vimeo. I have found full run 90ties shows there. Some TV stations have old archive stuff available for streaming as well. Also googles video search is underrated

I look at all the sites that I can find. But I watch a lot of weird and cult and often old stuff. Many times those things are only on tube sites

I can't speak for Youtube missing shows, but if you click on the cogwheel of the video controls, you can change the resolution.
Then, your download manager will get wind of the quality change and download it.
Internet Download Manager and Xtreme Download Manager are particularly good at that.

Another trick to remember with YooBoobs is that the queue list at the right is not reliable for finding all the episodes of a series. If the uploader put up all the files, you can find them by clicking on the link for the uploader's page and then clicking on the videos tab.
