The Spike Protein in Covid kills certain cells that make up the lining of arteries and smaller vessels causing injury, or in documented cases already, tears and ruptures (arterial dissection). It is as much a vascular as a respiratory illness.
The *vaccine* is purified Spike Protein. Or, in most cases, a genetically engineered method to make your own cells generate the protein , using a Reverse Transcriptase with an artifical 'stop codon' (pseudouridine) to ensure that it keeps making the proteins much longer than would occur in nature. Estimate range up to 2 weeks, but no one knows for sure.
