I need this for a elderly person that's only comfortable using Windows Media Player for XP or Win98
Why not just download a copy of Windows XP from The Pirate Bay?
As far as I know, Windows Media Player 11 is included in late 2000 slipstreams of Windows XP by Maherz.

Windows Media Player has always been included in XP to my knowledge. Unless you get the M version.
Anyways, if you want the Classic look on it, just get K-lite coded pack with the last version available for XP. It as Media Player Classic
