I love this movie and its assorted riffs, but has anyone else noticed that City of the Dead (1960) is a lot less like a city and a lot more like a Small Rural Junction of the Dead or Tiny Foggy Hamlet of the Dead or Population: Eight of the Dead? For gawd's sake, the place isn't even big enough to have it's own gas station.
Sorry, just had to vent.

Dare I say Cul-de-sac of the Dead?
Body armor!
This is one of my all time favorite riffs, OP. It's something I would have watched on AMC as a kid for fun, its a pretty good movie, and the riffs are spot on.
"Whatever, baby...I guess I'll look for my missing sister or whatever...baby."
"Satan drained the gas tank!."
"I'm from Albany, nEWYourk."
in the UK, 'city' is a status bestowed by the monarchy and has nothing to do with size (a little googling shows that the smallest city in the UK, St. Davids, has a population of just 1600). while it takes place in Massachusetts, it was written and produced by british folks. so maybe they had no reason to believe there was any great distinction when it comes to size.
also, that place was just blanketed with fog. the visibility was very poor. probably blocked out most of the city.
