I stupidly executed the shortcut i got from this torrent:

now my windows defender antivirus doesn;t work, it's turned off and settings says it's 'managed by my organization' - any thoughts?

That is one of the weirdest torrents I've ever seen.

It is listed as having thousands of seeders.  Presumably, they are using a seed inflator.

It lists Xvid and h264, which are both video codecs, as well as AC3.

It has a shortcut to a file with executable code.  I think The Pirate Bay prevents you from uploading "exe" files unless the torrent is in a software category.

I've noticed that most fake video torrents have the video as an "exe" file.  I've wondered if people are stupid enough to run those.
