I have an add-on to Firefox Called Easy Youtube Video Download Express. It allows me to save the audio in different files.
This is just for the audio though. Since you said music I figured that's what you are looking for. They also have add-ons where you can download the actual video to watch too.

Most of the tools to download videos on yt and various sites are based on youtube-dl, a free and opensource utility.
You can use it through web interfaces available online, hostable on your server or even install it on your computer.

You also can use ClipGrab to download YouTube video. https://clipgrab.org/
I usually use installer version without third-party offers. https://download.clipgrab.org/clipgrab-3...rtable.exe
After installing it, copy-paste YouTube URL into ClipGrab, choose desirable format and resolution, then click download button...

I just want to put the music in my library folder and play them randomly. What is a good choice? I have an HP laptop.

maybe MP4 if you also want a video, but if only audio you can select MP3 128kbps.
