The current midterm elections are the first chance average Americans have had to check the president.
If you dislike what he's doing you need to actually show up and vote November 6th.

I couldn't agree more ! The Republican Party that exists today is not the Republican party of our parents' youth ! They're no longer conservative, but extremists who are all about personal greed and expanding their own power instead of working with the Democrats for the betterment of Americans. That's been a problem since the Reagan presidency and the rift has gotten much wider in the 37 years since! To a more limited degree that happened to the Democratic Party as well by the end of the 80s / early 90s. Fortunately there are an increasing number of progressive Democrats who aren't corporate politicians. We're not seeing that on the Republican side anymore, since they've pushed out their moderates.
Donald Trump has been a self-serving asshole for decades, and we didn't expect him to change when he stole the presidency via the Electoral College.
