so I've downloaded the PC game Aces of the Galaxy (2008) 51 MB RAR = 60.8 MB extracted, but no matter what I do, I always get this error:





Google didn't help much. Would you know a solution?

This is Causing because of steam. Try to delete "appcache" folder in Steam folder in C:\Program Files\Steam Then, completely close Steam client and login again.
and also run the game as admin

Hi, I did as you said, deleted "appcache" folder, opened the steam client and logged in, then run the exe as admin, resulting in the same error.
I wish this game was available as GOG version.

Found a solution!

Download Steamless, extract, run "Steamless.exe".
Then navigate to the folder where the extracted files for "Aces of the Galaxy" are located, select "AcesOfTheGalaxy.exe".
One second later you'll have a new exe called "AcesOfTheGalaxy.exe.unpacked.exe", use this one to start the game.
