Probably the nfo and/or the rtf. If you are not going to be remaking the torrent, you will have to upload it to other > other.
Any chance of having it moved to Audio after upload? All three files (the .rtf included) contain typical NFO-file stuff and nothing more.

Okay, no worries. One of the other staffers obligingly did that upthread somewhere, so I thought I'd ask. Smile
I am trying to upload a torrent to audio>music that contains mp3's and a text file just like this one [which by the way doesn't show up in search]

https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/1793599..._Democracy

but keep getting the   "error - file name error"

this is it posted on another site I don't know how else to show you

thank you for your attention

cheers!

"this one" does NOT contain a text file.

Either recreate your new torrent without the text file, or upload into Audio > Other (or Other > Other)

the text is in my file folder and I could have sworn there were 13 files + the txt. I must have placed it in there after I posted it to description. certainly my fault. I'll have to try to remember that.. It's been up since june 2017 and the only

audio I've posted. thanks for looking into it for me anyway. just to ask, will it accept an nfo? I appreciate your time    cheers!
I don't know about nfo's (types disallowed in categories change from time to time and I've long since lost track).

But the "filename error" message is arguably the most reliable message on TPB, it always means exactly the same thing, so try it and see: if you get a filename error with an nfo then it's not allowed in that category.
I just had this problem with a audio/music file… i converted now m4a into aiff and this works.

However, I hope in future it will be possible to upload m4a as audio files too.
Are changes planed?

e.g. it should be possible to upload pdf files for music as booklets sometimes come as pdf
No

The restrictions are not arbitrary, they are imposed only when a given filetype has proven to be abused excessively. e.g. txt or pdf files "explaining" that a "new and improved codec" is required in order to enjoy the music in superior quality.
