I have a movie that was obviously prepared with subtitles on the bottom of the screen.
I only take the movie, never any of the extra files just so I can avoid the subtitles. It is never known if the movie will have the subtitles already in it.
What program is out there that can I use, that is not complicated, and does not require money. And hopefully, does not put a restriction on how many files you can do, or even have the 'water mark' on the screen.
I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you.

It depends if the Subs were "Burnt" in (hard-coded) into the video stream.
You will see this with very early releases here from Korea for example
in which case they cannot be removed, at least NOT easily!
Most times that is NOT the case, in my experience un-needed subs that
appear as soon as I start the film were soft-coded and set ON by default,
a practice that drives me nuts! If you are using a player like VLC simply
select NO subtitles by RT clicking on screen and then going to "subtitles".
To remove soft-coded subs completely or at least set them to non-forced
you can use "MKVtoolNIX" (.mkv files) or do a quick re-encoding with no subs
with "Handbrake" which can deal with MP4 & MKV files and is a simpler app.
That's a quick answer, without knowing what format or media player you
are dealing with it's hard to say more!
Edit: MKVtoolNIX can handle many video formats, BUT the output will be .MKV
if that presents a problem. Remember .AVI,.MP4 & .MKV are only containers
and can contain many different streams: Video, Audio, Subs, Chapters, ect...
the trick is to simply remove or change the stream you don't need without
re-encoding the video, which is the big time consuming part.

mymp4box can be used instead of mkvtoolnix if the preferred output is mp4 instead of mkv.

NIce tips, guys.
If all else fails, I would just blur the subs if they are hardcoded.
