B. Rinehart & K. Steele - Xanadu (1980) [1080p BluRay h264]

Description
DescriptionThe year was 1980. Ish. Disco was dying. Roller skating was on the way out. Feathered hair, and satin jackets were going the way of running boards. So, it was obviously the best time to make a movie about roller disco, feather the hair of your stars, and put 'em in satin jackets. The project was called Xanadu, and you can find DVD copies of it at Target this week, for $9.99. Get yourself Xanadu'd!

Welcome to the iRiff for Xanadu! Now that you've made your purchase, there are a few things to understand:
1. This movie is goofy. But, it's got heart. It's got moxie. It's got lots of images that probably made sense in 1977.
2. Xanadu was made in 1980. It's best viewed while on cold medicine or with severe sleep deprevation. Or both.
3. This is an MP3 audio track that should sync up with the film. There's a brief introduction on the audio track, before the riffing starts. There's a countdown. Follow the directions.
4. The introduction and the countdown time up to the start of the film. Listen to it first, hit pause, when you're told, and then fire up your VCR, DVD, Blu-Ray or BetaMax, and when the "Universal" logo appears, that's when you hit play on the audio track.
5. This particular audio track was lovingly recorded over the course of 2 months by B. Rinehart and K. Steele. It was edited over the course of another 2 months, and then left to languish for another 8 months. It was aging like a fine wine. Or cheese.
6. Xanadu is available on Netflix. You can also purchase your own copy at many brick and mortar retailers, or online. And you will want to own a copy.
7. K. Steele would like to apologize to Olivia Newton-John. No hard feelings?
Enjoy!

Bed Time Story Productions (BTS) - Soylent Green (1973) [1080p BluRay h264]
Description, no cover art available
Description, no cover art availableThere are thousands of amazing, entertaining movies available that you could watch again and again. I highly recommend watching as many of those as you can get your soylent little hands on, 'cause Soylent Green isn't one of them.
Based on an entire line of food that never made it to your local farmer's market (thankfully), and the place Green Day got it's name from (not really, but it sounded good), it's got all the action, suspense, romance, and character development of a whole-wheat cracker. It's a movie that teaches you about the importance of saving our planet; something you probably already learned from Al Gore. Less importantly, it's a movie that teaches you how to eat, and that's not even the worst part.
The worst part is the 90+ minutes of your life you'll waste watching this film, when, chances are, you already know the outcome because some moron(s) spoiled it for you. You can't get that time back.
And assuming you can make it through the film (you know what they say about the word assume), there's a good chance someone will have to call 9-1-1 when you pass out on the floor from boredom, thus the reason for this full-length commentary. It just takes some of the edge off. You'll still probably faint from boredom, but there's a better chance someone won't mistake you for dead and send you to the waste disposal plant. Meanwhile, you'll be laying there with a smile on your face dreaming of tulips, deer, mountain streams, and other nature scenes. However, if you hear the music of Tchaikovsky or Beethoven while you're laying there on the floor, I recommend therapy when you come to.
Good luck.

Woot, many, many thanks folks, especially for the Olivia Newton-John smash hit, Xanadu!
Say what you will about this film, but I do love it in all of it's cheddar-y goodness, and that soundtrack! Jeff Lynn of ELO fame, kids!

Hope it'll help There are a lot of bad iRiffers out there (not as many as there used to be, but still), but of course a lot of it's a matter of taste. For example, I consider the Turkey Shoot riffs to be some of the best one-man riffs around (I consider that guy's work to be a lot more solid than most of what Matthew J. Elliot does, for example, yet somehow Elliot has the RiffTrax "seal of approval" to be one of the last surviving "Rifftrax Presents" acts).

I have not had the chance to screen any of the Turkey Shoot riffs and these links seem dead.
Care to share any of them? I'm also of the opinion that one-man riffs aren't usually the best.. It typically takes a team to do a good riff!
Thanks in advance

I know the last one I posted didn't get a very good response, but since I made this for myself I thought I might as well post it anyway in case someone likes it.

Thanks for this...I saw the original YT vid go up yesterday, and today he put up the edited-down 'clip' collection and I figured I'd just check on the slight chance that the synced version got posted here...and yay!
