when i click the files on a torrent it might say something like 2 or 25 files or such
but i get the error files list not available.
in the old days i used to be able to see these , am doing it wrong somehow
or is there a way to see these somehow someway
anybody??

It seems as though it does it randomly, sometimes when you upload to the TPB server it might not index correctly and it shows no list of files. You can't always exactly say that they will display, I myself have had a lot of luck these days but in the past it has happened and no file list shows up. I guess it depends on how good the server is running and that is down to Winston and is out of everybody's control. If no files show up in the list doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem, most likely an indexing issue that's all, other than that the torrent is just fine and you can download normally open in your client and look that way instead to see the content.

Actually there is no luck or mojo involved. Torrents older than 2016-15-ish (not sure where the exact breaking point is) show no file list. Most likely due to a database migration in which the file list field was deemed unnecessary or someone screwed up and dropped that particular table. Either way, you can pause your torrent download as soon as you have all meta-data and review the file list in your client.

Load the torrent. If it is seeded, you will get file list.
If there are no seeds to get file list, there is nobody to download from anyways.
