hi i added big porn torrent but it caused disk overload and froze bittorrent ! so i tried to end task but it wouldnt so i shut down pc but that just sat there for like 10minutes doing nothing so i killed power to my pc Blush

bollocks now bittorrent needs reinstall and all my torrent files have gone Angry i had loads still trying to complete so how can i try to reinstall them ? ( my torrent client shows 0 torrents in it like its brand new and ive never added a torrent to it )

where do they get saved to ? so i can try to find them

where are .torrent files ( i always use magnet links but once complete and ive seeded a fair amount i usually go to remove .torrent but keep data of course) can i get mine back ??
please help this a major cock up

also what should we do if we get disk overload in utorrent/bittorrent ?

If you're in BitTorrent now, stay there and do this.
Click Start
Enter %appdata% and hit Enter
Open the bittorrent folder
In there, should be files named resume.dat and resume.dat.old. Move them somewhere safe.
Then exit BitTorrent.
Then copy back the resume.dat.old file and rename it to resume.dat.
Then restart BitTorrent. Hopefully your session will be restored. You will likely have to Force Recheck everything.

sorry ive managed to cock that up because id gone and added 2 torrents to my empty client which then froze again from disk overload before i saw your reply so when i followed your instructions i guess i got dump file for that !

now when i do the Enter %appdata% and hit Enter i can see all the torrent files ive downloaded but theres no resume.dat.old file any longer so can they still be put back into my client (bittorrent) any way ? eg can i drag and drop them somehow if so to where ?

huge thanks for help
