SUBTITLES SUBS Mystery Science Theater 3000 MST3K
* These files have no video or audio
* They only contain the original MST3K episode subs muxed from DVD
* They are being posted to allow muxing with other video/audio sources
https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/1577836...3000_MST3K

These subtitles are being provided by request in case someone wants to synch them with their own encodes of the MST3K episodes. These mks files are Matroska containers with NO VIDEO and NO AUDIO; they only have the English subs for each episode. An mks can be muxed using MKVmerge with a user provided video/audio encode. The remux might require synch adjustment which can be easily applied within MKVmerge. Removing every "ONLY-" from the mks filenames results in the filenames for the complete mkv encodes.

Note, these ARE NOT OCRed srt text subtitles. These are the original Advanced Sub Station Alpha (aka SSA) subtitles directly muxed from the DVDs.

This initial subtitles share contains the following mks files. These are all of the MST3K episode subtitles up to Volume36. Vol02 was a reissue and they didn't do subs for Vol33 or Vol34.

Does anyone know how to extract srt subs from these files? IDEK if that's even possible, but thought one of y'all might know.
Time has a way of making subtitles more and more useful and I'm looking for a set.

Maybe the srt files already exist and one of y'all can point a guy in that direction.

Thanks & have a good weekend y'all.

Holy Balls LaGrrande, this is great! I really do appreciate this and I know here are lurkers aplenty who will appreciate your efforts as well.
I know I'm gushing, but this is one of those quality-of-life upgrades that are truly welcomed.
