from what i get donut is acting like a honeypot registrar and could be a trap so if you run out of domains then just use the onion address full time.

If you ask for my opinion: I am not worried.

A "honeypot registrar"?!?

Donuts is a registry not a registrar.  A registry manages one or more TLDs.  A registrar leases domain names to the public.

Anyways, a registrar really can't be a honeypot.

Ease up on the conspiracy punch.

The point of a "Honey pot" is not to trap you or gather info. Its to waste your time.
They keep the Data safe by keeping the hacker looking the wrong direction.

@ nik

i thought it would be a suggestion becausei dont want to lose tpb to  the mpaa and from what i got from the article the mpaa is working with donuts to shut down sites.

i did not want tpb to get caught in the trap by ordering a domain name from donuts then not losing  it but having the identity of the admins get busted

then how should i reply?

should i not reply to an individule and just post my idea on the board?

ok  is this better by it's self if i just say it without saying attention someone?

a company may set them self up as a registrar so then rules that only apply to registrars then apply and the rules are different from those of an isp and a vpn.

that is why i was suggesting that tpb avoid using donuts for their future domain names and continue using the other registrars instead.

i thought a honeypot was a bogus proxy or vpn that claims to not reveal things and then betrays by revealing to the law or investigators

while i'm sure 'nik' appreciates the concern, tpb admins are very smart, cunning and handsome... also, please refrain from responding to mod calls or edits in the thread. ever. thanks.
