.amr conversion to .mp3 without volume loss?

Hi,

I'm currently using a freeware utility (AMR Player) to convert .amr audio files to .mp3.
Although the software does the conversion without any major issues, i've found that there's a major drop in volume on the newly created .mp3 files.

Any suggestions or links to a software that can do the conversion but holds the original volume level or allows for manipulation of the volume during or after the conversion process.

this will normalize the gain to whatever you like... can also work in batches. alternatively, you can also do the adjustments manually with this or just use a sound editor like goldwave... most of them have that function included.

also, most media players have a setting you can use to normalize or adjust the gain too.
