Youtube is really sucking right now
#1
At first I thought it was my Internet or computer(s) but now I've found out that youtube is purposely slowing down anyone with an adblocker.

But it gets worse !  Because they're also trying to destroy your computer.  Ironically, this information came from someone's youtube channel.

Honestly, I don't care because I switched over to dailymotion.  There's a ton of great old shows for me to watch.  (Most seem to be french)

Well I'll be honest.   Outside of a handful of old TV shows there's really not much value in youtube for me.
I've watched all seaons of the Love Boat, That Girl, Ponderosa and What's my line.   After that, it's the occaisional tutorial and that's really hit and miss.

The last tutorial I did was on unreal engine and the guy teaching it was from Pakistan.  I could barely undertand what he was saying.
Also, I've got brain damage so I have to learn stuff really slow but this guy was so slow that I found myself complaining.
It's really bad when a retard with a blow average IQ complains how slow a course is.

Dailymotion has pretty much all the same stuff that youtube has but it's in french. Which is cool because I taught myself french.
So now I'm watching shows like Ce n'est pas sorcier and L'Incroyable Hulk.

I'm a YT addict as far as the main source of entertainment goes. Plus, I've learned a lot from it. When I had my old iPhone 6, I change out my battery when it died using a tutorial. NOW, I'm learning about my washer and how sometimes it won’t drain and what to do, (well, I have the vids, haven't gotten around to watching them). Done some minor car repairs using it. etc.

Dailymotion's search really sucks. So be prepared to do a lot of digging or use google /bing

Youtube angers me from the perspective of someone who works with /for content creators.

Youtube gets the content for free. In fact, educated estimates say that more than 90% of the content on the platform will never see a penny. The creators bust their asses but they're never able to get the required subscribers or hours viewed required to be monetized.

From the perspective of the creators, they never needed youtube to distribute their creations. But youtube came around and destroyed all those channels of distribution. Even creators who didn't want to do deal with the platform are forced to.

Lastly, add that for every $1 a creator makes on Youtube... The platform earns close to $1,000 for doing nothing but hosting the video.

We also all know about the censorship and demonetization

I watch quite a few podcasts. A lot mentioned that if, during a live stream, a fan super chats a creator (makes a comment in the chat with a $$ tip), they get 30%, on top of whatt you mentioned, which is robbery. I'm sure you know this, but I';m writing it out so a reader not in the know can follow.

When piracy is done right then creators make money. It's to a creator's advantage to upload their content to a site like the pirate bay.

But the shit that the big tech platforms do is horrible.

In many cases it's bad enough that they'll censor and demonitize a creator. They'll out right play favorites too!
So, say the right slogans and talking points in a podcast and youtube will direct a ton of traffic at your channel.

One of the adult content creators that I deal sells her videos in the bars. Guys pay her through zell, cashapp, crypto or even just cash. Then she downloads the video directly to their phone or whatever device they have. She clears a grand every weekend and that doesn't include the guys who contact her for more or for webcam shows.

I would like to see this work with mainstream creators because we need to abandon platforms like Youtube.
