[I wanted to state the obvious] DC++ makes it possible to contact a potential "seed". Of course, there is no guarantee here. I mention this because when Demonoid was still a force, I got an invite to it by doing a "shout out" [while connected to a hub]. With Bittorrent, there is no way to contact a "seed" that I know.
