Win7 Sp1 Help
#1
Please forgive if this is a dumb question, already beat to death.

I use an ancient XP system that is half Posix.

A while back the lil lady needed Office 2013 so I built her a 64 bit C2D Win 7 machine.
I rarely use it.

Now she needs 7.1 for a Photoshop course based around Photoshop CC 2014.
Machine is OK as far as specs, but it seems to need SP1.

Is there a way to simply add SP1 on to this machine - I do understand that using M$ KB version will likely break the crack on it. Is there a seperate cracked SP1 pack out there?

I am downloading Gen's
Windows+7+SP1+AIO+24in1+OEM+ESD+en-US+July+2016

To use as a last resort. Reinstalling a new system on that machine would really blow chunks as it is finely tuned and never had a virus - without *any* added firewall or AV. Or updates. Too bad I didnt take notes when setting it up....

TIA

Never mind, I just asked a garbage, time-wasting question.

If you're downloading that, just test it. Take out and hide KB3109094 as that update will kill the DAZ Loader.

Speaking of the DAZ Loader, install that after installing the OS. Then worry about KB3109094.

Unless you're using versions made before December 2015, stay away from pre-activated Windows versions at and after December 2015, or you will have to worry about KB3109094.

I have more info, but I think you would prefer to get answers to stuff you've experienced. Stuffing you with irrelevant and labyrinthe information will only confuse you. Practical experience is the greater teacher.

Hope this helps and good luck.

The Win7 system was installed ftom TPB a couple years ago, and the installer was integrated into the setup.
At the time all updates were turned OFF. And the services were chopped down till it looked like XP.

The issue here is whether I can add SP1 (and where to find it) that does not compromise the existing setup.
When originally installed, there was a clear warning NOT to install tthe SP1 KB 'update'.

Of course the ultimate solution is to start afresh and 7.1 all pre-cracked. But that is a bit of a nightmare!

EDIT: Read this only: An untouched SP1-ready Windows 7 is here: https://thepiratebay.org/search/Windows%...hed/0/99/0

Use that and the DAZ Loader on that copy.

These don't seem like slipstreamed copies, so you might be able to install updates of your choosing. Just omit KB971033 and KB3109094. If not, I'll take a shower, my brain must stink.

Do that and call back.

Typically I always disable updates. They are normally for M$ garbage which I try to avoid.

So basically the question is this:

Can I download Win7 SP1 (forgot the KB#), disconnect the net, install SP1, and then run the Daz loader?
And then reconnect the net?

Is there a FAQ on the subject?

Also: There are dozens of DAZ versions. Any one in particular preferred?

Is there anything 'wrong' with pre-activated, over 'untouched'???

Once again a full reinstall is a nightmare scenario, though thankfully I do have the Blackviper site for help....

I searched and found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Piracy/comments...p1_update/

But yeah, you should be fine. Of course, in life itself, there are no guarantees.

Seemingly, Windows pre-activated are avoided because a possibility where someone fiddled with it exists. I didn't let that stop me, however. If you're truly scared about preactivated ISOs, just use untouched.

In conclustion, you should be able to run SP1 on your pre-SP1 Windows 7 installation, and all the while keeping your Internet connection, but I would think you'll need DAZ.

Good luck.

EDIT: There is only one updated DAZ Loader, and that is 2.2.2.

I would direct you to register in the My Digital Life forum, where the developer of the Windows Loader, DAZ, posts. I am no expert, I just stick with what works, so please direct your questions to them. Just don't tell them you're using an illegal copy.

I had to wait till the weekend to get to this:

Did major backups.

Then tried to load Photoshop 2014 directly on Win 7.0

It worked.

No complaining about needing Sp1!!!!

So far, so good. Hope I dont really need SP1 for anything else.

Now the issue is dealing with Adobe, which while blacklisted in Hosts, still tried to download 'updates'....

Wait, what?

You need SP1! Get it!

Did you mean to say that my previous link did not work?

The OP was given the answer on MDL by Bat. Use a Genuine Untouched Windows 7 ISO. Activate it with a Genuine copy of the Daz loader, then upgrade it using The Simplix Pack. An up-to-date OS will not be any less responsive and will be a hell of a lot more secure. As both EFA and Bat posted NO KBs will have any effect on the Daz Loaders Genuine Status.
