Why Authorities Do not Shutdown Biggest Porn Torrent Sites? While they are shutdowns main stream entertainment pirate sites?

They make more money in entertainment. Release are distributed across many countries with revenue projected in the millions.
Plus why would they go after the legendary penis.

See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MindGeek
tl; dr = the companies which own the major porn streaming sites also own the major porn producing studios. i.e. they have a different mindset and revenue model to the companies which produce mainstream movies. They don't see torrents as a problem, more as free advertising (and obsolete technology)

So they are less powerful enough to open million dollar lawsuits. - They dont have biggest lobbies like MPAA, RIAA etc.. - Porn doesnt hire lobbyists who can enforce senators to enforce law enforcements against biggest porn tubes and porn torrent sites. - Porn may be more primitive considered to be for intellectual property - Also embarrassment to lawyers, judges and others. Maybe same thing for the pornstars who accused someone stole their porn scene/movie at the police station and they would just laugh off of it?

You can if you want, in fact you just have, but your first point is untrue, your second and third points are true but irrelevant, and your fourth, fifth and final points are simply nonsense.
They are different industries. They earn their money in different ways therefore they perceive the "threat" of torrent sites in different ways and they react in different ways. Software companies don't try to shut down torrent sites either. Nor do publishers. Same reasons.

You don't think there are porn lobbyists? I bet there are.

Just go read TorrentFreak. You can see there that it's almost mostly the Porn industry that has the most outrageous law suits.

Plus, torrents are seem more of a direct impact to Hollywood than porn would be. Why go after more revenue based sites world wide where you'd be flat like a pancake, when u can just target torrent sites who only make revenue from advertisers only you can punish more? Its all abut money... The less money, the bigger the target.. Pirate sites would make heaps, but compared to the porn industry ? Torrent sites don't wouldn't even come close. |
