Hi everyone,
I'm hoping you can help.
For the last month + I've been getting this white film cover the video as I'm watching it from my computer on VLC. I've also been having audio issues where the show skips a few words & then comes back. I also copied the shows from my stick to the HD & same issue.
After talking with multiple techies who upgraded everything (drivers & bios) & then Asus who then thought it was my MB b/c it also happened on Skype the odd time & iTunes every time I played it, it turns out it's NOT the MB. I just went thru hell getting it installed & now have a host of other issues b/c the MB changed & it didn't fix the issue.
Anyway, I thought it was ONLY my desktop, but just now I got the same white film on a video I was playing on my laptop & I'm pretty sure I started it from my HD, not from my Sansa USB stick.
So logically that means something is happening at the video level b/c how could both computers be infected? The only common element is the videos, as I only use my laptop for traveling although the odd time I send info I need back & forth between 2 different Skype accounts.
The audio seems fine on the laptop, although I only watched the latter portion of 24 on the laptop b/c it wouldn't run on the desktop, but Friday night I watched a whole show on here with no audio issues.
Anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas?
I'm working with another computer forum to try & fix whatever is wrong with the computer, but I don't want to tell them I'm DLing from here plus they would just tell me to stop, it's not safe.
Thanks
