What is/are Rifftrack(s)?

Since KAT went down, Ive seen alot of talk from former KAT members discussing a thing called 'Rifftrack'. Now I see threads on offerings of 'Rifftrack' uploads and such stuff - now, can anyone school me on what are Rifftrack is or what it involves for such a tag or description? Is it a Release group? or just a way of doing an upload? Please be as informative as possible. Thanks for any and all replies that help with this.

Carjacker - the riff guys on this forum seem to be quite a helpful bunch, so if you have any queries about what they do etc, I'm sure they'd only be too happy to help (and they won't just post a wiki link lol). They're a tight knit community but I'm sure they'd welcome some new blood.

They change the original audio of movies and use instead a parody made by some humorists. They mock movies that they consider ridiculous. I'd love to listen to their "List of Schindler" work.

My first was Jaws 3 and I laughed my ass off.
For some reason, the others I tried didn't ammuse me as much. Maybe I'll try it again sometime, but it's as if you and a buddy or two were watching a movie, smoking a joint (or trippin' on cid) and spend the whole time mocking the film. That said, most of the rifftrax torrents I've seen, have audio option to switch to normal movie track. Others are only the rifftrax audio, (mp3, aac and such) you can mux into another video encode. |
