What happened to all the web-dl releases?
#1
All of a sudden almost all of the shows that usually was released as a x264 web-dl seem to have disapeard and the only versions available is 720p HDTV and HEVC releases.

Is it the works of a DMCA takedown flood or has the networks changed something in their broadcasts?

You're painting with a broad brush. Maybe no one felt like uploading them? HEVC (x265) releases are just re-encodes of HDTV rips that were released in x264 and have no relevance to your question. The Pirate Bay does not, has not, and will not in the future respond to the DMCA so that theory is also torpedoed. Do you know what a web-dl is? For one it's not broadcast.

Cheeses, what crawled up into you and died? Wasn't aiming for starting a war/debate, was just having some thoughts I was hoping someone could shed some light on.
Might be that no one wanted to upload them but previous seasons of the shows I think of has been uploaded both on tpb and on other sites as web-dls but now I cant find them anywhere, not a single trace of a lot of them. And find it kind of unlikely that either one person did the uploads on all of them or that all uploaders got tired of it at the same time. So that's why I thought something special had happen around this season premieres with some new security around iTunes or something.
Broadcast was the best word I could come up with, not a native English speaker, and I'm pretty sure you understood what I was aiming for.

politux is not trying to be hostile, so forgive him/her.

It may that you were at the wrong place and at the wrong time.

Give us the title of what you're looking for and tell us the format you desire. Maybe we can help you with an abundance of it.

Why don't you just download from another source?

Uploaders come and go.

Geeezz ... Just asking, friend ... Many shows are just uploaded by them, some are available from orher uploaders, and I do download from these other sources. Also, I am all for unite and befriend the pirate community, and when a top uploader disapears for a time, its just natural, IMHO, to ask what happened.
Anyway, thank you for the reply ( I think ), and sorry for the bad english.

<irrelevant crap snipped. /mod>

To answer pson's query, these shows need to show up on iTunes for there to be WEB-DLs. Look up the schedule on the iTunes website, and you'll have a good idea when the episodes will be available for download.

Hi. i just registered for ebooks but happy to see a TV section. D/L about 15 tv shows a day for a few people in my home. Far better TV on the web than cable networks themselves. D/L em all to my hard drive in mkv format, quickly convert to mp4 using Handbrake, and then load em in my iTunes, and they show up on my 60" tv...assume that's how most on apple do it, but i could be wrong..Some great shows out there.

About 6 or so months ago, I remember some sites wanted to do away with 264 and for about a week they were difficult to find. But one particular group if I remember correctly, refused to follow that and 264s were around again right afterwards. i prefer 720min or 1080 but occasionally will d/l 264.

Anyhow IF i am reading the OPS question correctly, which I might not be, being new here, 264's are all over the place again.
