Wanted: precise definition of "fake" torrent
#1
I would like a precise definition of what marks a torrent as "fake".
I have thought about this and started a list. Would appreciate if someone would add to/correct/complete/modify the following ideas.
1) torrent/upload contains a virus
2) torrent/upload does not conform to the title/description
3) torrent/upload missing information to work correctly, ie password, file missing/corrupted file
4) torrent/upload not seeded properly by uploader
5) redundant uploading
6) unacceptable content (kiddie porn/spam/gross vulgarity/libel/racist/national security risk, etc)

Why is it important to you to define it so precisely?

A fake torrent is simply something that is intentionally misleading. It is not what it purports to be. That is why it is called a fake. Lumping all that other stuff in is pointless.

If you want a precise definition, I suggest a dictionary.
