When the Warrior was in the WWF, his music sounded like the song by Survivor; it was called "Eye of the Tiger."
Did they rip that off? I kind of think they did.
I knew Hogan had that music once in his WWF heyday.

It goes on a lot. The other day I happened to notice a track that came out a few months ago, something recent but I'm not going to specify which track in question. It turned out it had been copied from this older track that came out in the 1990's. I have no intention to ever reveal who the artist is because I happen to like them and I support them and buy their music and have no problem at all with this said person I happen to think they are cool. But yeah people do copy people's music a lot and it's no surprise that it was copied from an old track no doubt about it. If it does sound similar they have probably stolen the style of the song and made like an alternate version to which a lot of the same kind of feeling has been used.

RodneyYouPlonker, I am not talking about pirating music in this thread.
I'm just talking about the style of the music because it sounds alike, though not identical.
Throughout history, professional wrestling has made several "rip-offs" of famous band artists. One of these emulations is Diamond Dallas Page's WCW music. It was a blatant rip-off of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Other wrestlers just duplicate famous music. Macho Man Randy Savage had "Pomp and Circumstance," Daniel Bryan had "Flight of the Valkyries" and the most famous use of public domain music was Ric Flair's "Also Sprach Zasthrusta."
If you don't divulge the name of an artist or a track it doesn't necessarily mean they'll lose money. OK, look at it this way: if you don't tell me the track or artist, how am I supposed to support them? I can't buy their albums or download through legal services. Where do I look? I don't mean to antagonise you, really, but the reasoning behind your statements need a little work.
Anyhow, if you don't want to divulge the information, I won't force you. Sharing of information should be voluntary in the first place. Besides, I was just asking for opinions since Warrior's "Unstable" music track resembles Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger." To be honest, they couldn't do a worse job than using that entrance theme. I loved "Eye of the Tiger" ten times more. The WWF should just pay royalties to the front man and use "Eye of the Tiger."
OK, finished my piece. And, again, no disrespect intended, RodneyYouPlonker, we just had a breakdown in communication; I hope that's cleared up mutually.

I said I'm not going to give away any names. I said that in my original post and it means I am going to stand by my word purely because I respect the Artist involved and I want to make sure no harm comes to that person and care not about what anybody else thinks.

EDIT: I'm dumb. I shouldn't say "rip off" so much. It probably is the root factor for creating the impression of infringing in copyright.
I should say "imitated," because that's what was done for most wrestlers like D.D.P., and Daniel Bryan.

Not exactly asking you to because that wasn't my purpose; my purpose was to chat about the Ultimate Warrior's entrance theme and how it resembles "Eye of the Tiger," at least in my mind.
Whether or not you divulge, it's your choice; I just didn't recall asking you to, so relax.

Well you said what you said so I was just saying that it's quite common for some forms to music to be copied and re-released by other people. The question is whether people are going to notice. In this situation yes you have noticed that this track in question has been copied in some way but I'm too lazy to go and listen on YouTube just being honest about that.

Wrong choice of words, so my bad.
You can't copy someone's music verbatim and get away with it, at least not without a good lawyer.
I should have said "imitated" or "approximated."
I acknowledge my error and I apologise.

Should read

Robert: Is this whole discussion related to because of the movie Rocky III? Like for example the soundtrack to the Survivor song was actually used in the movie when Rocky is training for his big fight against Clubber Lang and also not forgetting they used Hogan in the movie also as he was featured at the beginning doing a charity event, Boxer Vs. Wrestler kind of scenario?

Yeah, that's it.
To be honest the only Rocky Movie I saw was when Rocky fought Ivan Drago.
Now that was what a real man looks like.
