"Hey, DripTraxians! Mike Nelson here.

We reached way, way deep down into the vault to give you this pilot episode Kevin, Bill and I did for NPR back in, whew, 2003 or so...? Yes, NPR let us in the building, I wouldn't have believed it myself if I weren't there!

Grammy Award-winning producer Tom Voegeli championed us, and we got far enough along in the process to visit the mother ship in Washington, D.C. (where, if memory serves, we nearly broke their budget by over-indulging on oysters and beer...)

It was a ton of fun, and though they ultimately didn't pick it up, we have good memories and some sweet tote bags.

Enjoy!"

I can see why NPR didn't go for this. It's great, but kind of off-brand for them. It's really nice to hear MKB talk about things they actually like and get into some film analysis, even if it is slight. Had they done this about six years later as a podcast, it probably would have been a hit.

Hell, I'd still love to see a 30-45 minute podcast type of thing from the guys on Drip every week or so.
