Hi, 

I have a strange problem.

So I downloaded some ebooks, opened one of them, closed it again and when trying to cut the ebook (or the folder) from its current location, to paste it to a different folder, I got this error message:





As the eBook reader is not open anymore, this error message doesn't make much sense.
However, I just need to wait for about 30 seconds and then I'm able to move the file or folder in question. 

Would you know any tweak or setting that I can modify, so that I don't have to wait before the moving?

Is the file Read-Only attribute set? Protecting files from changes also help keep them intact (from readers/players) and sharing.
Each app has it's own settings. Using a RAM cleaner like those android apps (to force unload closed apps) MAYBE rush it.

No, the box "Read-Only" wasn't ticked. There is a little app called "Unlocker" existing, which works great. Only problem is to launch the program, navigate to the file in question and execute it, takes as along as to just wait for the Reader to release the eBook LOL

I never notice such delays while using Sumatra. What are you using there?

Foxit Reader for PDFs and IceCream Reader for ePub

Foxit was good in the beginning but soon after it got bloated. It's ok if you need to edit or do corporate work, but overkill just to read.
IceCream I don't remember using, but it looks heavy at 28MB.

Did you ever tried a light reader that can open almost all document files? Sumatra is less than 4MB and old versions of Foxit are quite light, check at FileHippo.

duede, I just installed Sumatra and what can I say ... it's lightning fast !!!
Makes me wonder, why not all readers are like that.

I'm glad it serves you well; is that file release taking too long after you close?

I just opened a 212 MB document with Sumatra, closed the reader and cut the document immediately, to paste it into a different folder. It worked straight away and there was no error message. 
Sumatra for the win !!!

Great there're yet some people making good freeware. I use Sumatra for most my needs with e-docs, FoxIt (cracked pro version) for edition of large files.
