so, those who had NOT seen this before like myself, what did you think? I seem to have trouble getting through Rifftrax releases that are heavily animated, I don't know why. Even Gumby, which i was amused by, quickly lost my attention.

Yeah, it's weird. 

If it wasn't 94°F here and I had slightly less wine in me I'd try for some lucid, well-thought-out theory, like ... 

"Without real humans to engage our "social cognition" (which involves the posterior superior temporal sulcus, temporo-parietal junction, amygdala, temporal poles, medial prefrontal cortex, and anterior cingulate cortex) we experience a mild version of the uncanny valley, and subconsciously disengage, which results in the the riffs falling a bit flat because blah blah, yadda yadda"

But all I got is ... yes, I agree. And I suspect RiffTrax knows it, because they don't do very many animated features.

... or maybe it's just that there's less overt mistakes and ineptitude to riff on in most animated films?
