Ugh. I forgot about Leonard Part 6. I know it's a well-know bad movie, but holy shit. Unless you see it, the reviews can seem hyperbolic. I almost forgot this movie. Please, brain, feel free to delete this memory cluster.
The Hobbit trilogy surely belongs here, right? A trilogy that should have been a wonderful 90 minutes.

I think I've seen it more than any of the heavy-hitters (birdemic, the room, etc). I'm not sure, maybe it's the line dancing in the dark. Or possibly the non-actors and non-script that turn it into some kind of podunk avant garde piece of trash history. Maybe it's the writer/director/star combo that makes a great so bad it's good film. It's as ugly as it is fascinating, at least to me.
Just finished watching it in the manner you suggested (Joe Bob). In fact, I got a copy at this very site! CONVENIENT!
Damn that's bad. Wow. Just wow. This [movie] deserves a Best of the Worst Spotlight episode. I checked after about an hour and only 23 minutes had transpired! At one point I got up to use the restroom and paused the [movie.] It was only muscle memory that made me pause it because I immediately thought, "I didn't need to do that." Terrible, terrible. A true trash treasure. Mind-boggling. Thanks for the tip-off.
None of this truly conveys what a mess this [movie] is.

You think you have an idea how bad this sucker is. That's funny to me.
After YOU watch it, *I'LL* be free! Who knew Ringu was a documentary about Howling VII? Great metaphor, that movie. (Ringu, not Howling VII.)
Howling VII - New Moon Rising is bad, but not as bad as Twilight - New Moon. So there's that.

great offerings all around. i'll throw my lot in here, too, and say nail gun massacre from 1985. there are 'so bad it's good' movies, like the room or high kicks, but nail gun massacre fails on pretty much every possible level. that, to me, is what makes a bad movie. many bad movies have maybe one good scene in them to replay and laugh at but this one has nothing. it's a badly directed movie all around. it fails as a movie, it fails as a slasher, it fails as horror, it fails as a comedy/parody of slashers with one liners/jokes not even a first grader would laugh at. it's just... awful.

Good choice with Nail Gun Massacre. I actually haven't seen High Kicks though. After you mentioned it, I looked it up and it looks pretty fun. Any idea where to get a copy though?

I had a DVDrip of High Kicks up on Cinemageddon many years ago. Don't know if that's still up or if anyone would be seeding it anyway. (I know I'm not. I had to delete the file to save space on my computer, and then they purged the user rolls on Cinemageddon anyway, so I lost my account.) I could probably upload my more recent personal rip sometime.
Most of that Vista Street stuff fell out of distribution and disappeared entirely after Brentwood Entertainment stopped cranking out 4 to 20 movie DVD sets around 2006. I have quite a few things in that vein, like Flight To Danger, Revenge Quest, Death Run To Istanbul... Stuff that was basically shot on VHS-C at someone's house or in an L.A. back alley in the mid-90s by people with basically no moviemaking experience. Not quite as grossly incompetent as a Suburban Sasquatch or a Neil Breen movie, but distinctly amateurish and stupid.
Then there's the really bad ones, which are usually better-made, but so intensely boring that you can't really squeeze enjoyment out of them. Tedious films are the worst ones to actually sit through.

I had a peek at Cinemageddon but was unable to sign up. No luck on TPB, 1337x, or youtube. I am into that kind of 90s vhs-c trash. It would be cool to get a copy, but only if you feel like uploading it.
