I happened to come upon a Youtube channel that talks about moments in history, moments that are covered in history class or just trivial events like the Japanese prisoner who escaped from prison four times using miso soup. There's also the Titanic, the Yakuza (the Japanese "mafia"), and the Hindenburg airship.
More and more are also available. They use animation to depict the events instead of using photographs.
If you are interested in a brief account, nothing into painstaking detail, you should try it.
