Did you ever see The people vs. OJ Simpson?

My expectations were pretty low and I was pleasantly surprised how compelling the series turned out to be (except perhaps John Travolta as Robert Shapiro).

I thought it had promise but there was too much "padding" for my liking and I abandoned it after a couple of episodes.

There was a mini-series version about the Stanley Kubrick movie, the Shining.

EDIT: Just one piece of advice: if you're looking for mini-series, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong are full of them. Some of them have sequels, but most of them just end after a month. That's how they do their shows.

As for that, I like the Hong Kong mini-series, The Greed of Man.
