Ryan Gosling and Burt Reynolds are not the main players here and not the featured stars. In fact, Gosling was only 17 at the time-- his first movie!
Both stars are still popular enough that their names, along with a different take on the famous monster story, should find lots of people interested in downloading this one.
An IMDB reviewer says, "Fun and surprisingly touching account of a troubled by imaginative young boy who plots a fanciful feat straight out of James Whale. Director Bob Tinnell is a student of horror cinema, and a handful of dream sequences invoke the spirit of classic Universal and Hammer monster classics....
"A must-see for monster lovers with kids."
Sounds wonderful, right?
Also, there is Louise Fletcher, iconic "Nurse Ratchet" from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" 22 years later. Later still, she played Kai Winn for six years on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. what's not to love?
Unfortunately, "Frankenstein and Me" is yet another lost picture that does not seem to be readily available. If it ever was, it has long been off the market where no one can see it. Someone please help. Will seed until monsters go out of style.
