I've been trying to get this torrent to work for several hours and I simply cannot get it to work properly, even though I've followed the steps for several different installs exactly as they were written out.
So, I'm convinced that all of these downloads must be fakes of some sort despite all of the comments. If someone who has (somehow) successfully gotten one of these to work, could you help me?

I don't have IM or voice chat but give me an hour and i'll build you an AIO (All In One) installer which will do the install for you in just 4-5 clicks. I'll upload it to TPB and post the link here

Installation Instructions:

1. Click on the DNA TAB to disable your Network Adapters.
2. Click on the INSTALL TAB and install the software.
3. Once installed, do not run the software. Close it completely (Untick "Launch Rosetta Stone v3").
4. Click on the PATCH TAB and follow the on screen prompts.
5. Click on the FIREWALL TAB and then click on YES then click on OK.
6. Navigate to the software installation directory, normally located at:
x64bit operating systems:

7. Right click on each of the following and select "Add To Firewall".

B) service_installer
8. Click on the ENA TAB to re-enable your Network Adapters.
9. When you run the software for the 1st time, disable updates.
10. Return to RosettaStoneVersion3 mentioned in step 7.A above and create a desktop shortcut.
NEVER EVER UPDATE THE SOFTWARE.

Also, the problem I always had with other downloads, was the language files were listed as deactivated and requiring a serial number. Is that a problem with the iso for the language file, or an error in the setup?

I don't use the software so i can't really give you a definitive answer. If you give me a half hour or so i'll download a language and add it and then i'll be able to walk you through the process.
I've added languages to it for others in the distant past and i do remember that you'll need a software like PowerISO to mount the .iso files which are the virtual versions of the physical language disks.
