Rigmar Karaoke Collection 2017 CDG+MP3 Audio 128 or a lot better

Welcome back after our short break to allow the slow downloaders to catch up with the main and current swarm.  Please view the plain text file called TRACK LIST VOL 32 for the contents of the Single RAR Archive.

Q.  Why Archive this torrent?
A.  Bit torrent clients and computers in General do not handle large numbers of open or half open individual files very well.  Due to the duel file nature of CDG+MP3 Karaoke each torrent would contain over 2400 individual files if I did not Archive them first.   Seeding that many individual files would use up vast amounts of computer resources and lead to problems on less powerful systems with too many open files, Too much Virtual Memory, RAM and CPU resources if anyone were to seed more than a handful of torrents in this series.

Placing over 2500 files in a single Archive reduces the file count to just one, solving that particular problem.   You also save 40% or more on the downloaded file size due to the compression factor.  I am well aware that un packing such a large Archive takes time on slower Computers, but this is the only way I can distribute the huge number of individual files which will make up this collection when done.

Q. You seem to have a bee in your bonnet over slow download speeds.  What is that all about and why should I care?
A. Bit torrent standards have been in decline for some years now.  At the very time ISP's are giving the World a better connection with more upload bandwidth than ever before, average swarm speeds have been going DOWN.  When people download very slowly from a swarm it is because they can not upload to fellow peers in that swarm.  This in effect makes them LEECHES who can only download slowly due to overloading there connection by running more than one active torrent at any time.  While it is true you can seed as many active torrents as you want at the same time, this IS NOT THE CASE if you want to download quickly.  Each seeding torrent and every download takes a part of your tiny upload bandwidth away from the swarm until you have none left to give.   SLOW DOWNLOADERS disrespect the original seed by not taking the maximum download speed the SEED is offering them.   SLOW DOWNLOADERS are LEECHES who drag the average swarm speed down to there pathetic level when they have a unique bit of the whole torrent no one else but the original seed has, as they are unable to upload that BIT to the rest of the swarm due to there sloppy bit torrent habits.  SLOW DOWNLOADERS are taking 24 hours or more to download a file(s) which they should be able to grab in 1 hour or less and leave himself/herself open to detection due to the long time they remain in the swarm.  SLOW DOWNLOADS ARE KILLING BIT TORRENT in 2017, let's all work to make dial up download speeds yesterdays News.

Q.  What is the point of such a large project on Bit Torrent?
A.  Go look at any commercial Karaoke download portal and see the prices they charge for bulk Karaoke start up collections!  Now you get the point.  This series, uploaded once every year is designed to help those new to Karaoke presenting get there first Karaoke collection up and running.  It is also designed to raise standards in the file naming of Karaoke collections so all Karaoke users file name following industry best practise.  Finally this torrent series is designed to help those established presenters, and I know there are a lot of them!  Make a clean start to there collection when there original has grown out of control and is giving them problems with bad search results due to duplications and errors over the years.  Over the years we have seen so called Karaoke release groups shouting they only upload clean fresh Karaoke, only to find the file names and tags are all over the place and many hours are needed to get that Karaoke in a place where you can import it into playout software and get the Artist data in the Artist field and the Song title in the song title field.  Hopefully this collection will spread around the World and put a stop to this nonsense.  NO ONE GIVES A FLYING FIG about original Karaoke manufacturers catalogue or disc numbers and they are placed at the very front of the filename where the Artist info should be in a music file name grrrr... if you import as is in pro DJ, VJ or Club playout software.  Yes some Karaoke players do take care of this, but HELLO if you are setting up Video feeds for Karaoke lyric display, you may as well promote HD Music Video between singers when you can and that rules out using most of the micky mouse playout software seen in many Karaoke only venues.  Many Karaoke only players are just not up to the job requirements for professional presenters.

Q.  Is this the largest bit torrent project ever?
A.  No other very large 500GB plus torrent projects have been uploaded in the past.  This however is possibly the fastest to download each day.

Q.  When will I be finished?
A.  When you see ZZ Top in the Artist field Smile  Est between Vol 50 and 60 if I reach that far.  That will take until the end of February 2017.

Q.  How much disc space will the collection take up when I un compress the archives?
A.  I can only guess at approx 500 Gigabyte disc space.  I have never uncompressed the entire collection as duel CDG+MP3 files as Ots DJ Pro use a single file system for Karaoke which saves a lot of space on your hard drive.

Q.  Can I make a new torrent from all or part of this collection and call it my own? on a private tracker site???
A.  Yes though a mention of the fact the torrent is the Rigmar Karaoke Collection would be the correct thing to do when re posted as it would tell your peers what they are getting inside each archive and avoid duplicate downloads.  Once this collection is out there every year, it is public domain.

Q.  Why do you upload the whole collection every year and not just the parts or songs which have changed since last time?
A.  Many thousands of changes, edits, Audio sound quality improvements are made over the course of a year to all the tracks in the collection.   The file names may not change but this year for example a large number of songs now have Audio sampled at 320 kbps for better sound quality.  Many thousands of tracks have minor changes made to both file names and MP3 tags to give better search results when using professional playout software.

Q.  Will I get a spreadsheet of all the songs suitable for sending to a commercial printer to make Karaoke song selection books?
A.  Yes on the last Vol of this years collection a CSV Plain text file suitable for importing into any decent spreadsheet will be included along with pre made Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets sorted by Artist and then Song Title.  This book will run to over 900 A4 sized pages at a font size of 10 pixels.  Best print double sided using a commercial printer for best results.

Q.  Will I be able to put the name of my roadshow on these books?
A.  Yes blank headers and footers will exist in the Excel versions for you to edit.

Q.  Can I use open office to make these books from the CSV plain text file and sort by Artist or song title from it?
A.  YES the CSV file will import correctly into any half decent spreadsheet on a PC or MAC.

Each RAR Archive contains 1200+ Tracks and is uploaded daily.  Target download time for the 5GB sized download is 1 Hour or a lot less!!!!  If you take longer than 1 hour please find out what you are doing wrong and correct it for next time.  Please not that if you share an internet connection or have a DSL (Phone Line) connection there may be little you can do to improve your download speeds.   Thank you.

Rigmar Radio - Seeding to the World since 2004.

Q. I am running an old MAC Snow Leopard OS.  Do you know if there is compatible DJ or Video Club software for my system? As of right now I cannot open the file with any of my current apps.

I'm having a hard time finding the actual download for this

Hi,

Thanks for the great work+upload^^

But you can test the files with e.g. AllDup to find duplicate files.
I found about 6GB that's one volume.

And there is a cdg missing from:
Karaoke Jingle (Simon Cowel) - 21 files
Oasis - Hindu Times [SF Karaoke].mp3 (Error from the missing cdg file torrent vol 43)

And what is with these mp2 files?

OK guys, sorry about that but I export the songs from a bit of software called Ots DJ Pro and this can cause problems when the DJ software file name is not the same as the Windows file name.   I will re up the entire Britney Collection before I go to bed tonight... HELL YEAH Smile

Over the 1st few months of this year I will be uploading my entire Karaoke collection once more.  This is a major download and you will require a 500GB hard drive to store it on.  The 2017 collection features the following points:

1.  All songs are renamed and tagged for easy import into professional DJ or Video Club software using the recommended music industry notation of Artist - Song Title [any other info]  I do not use Karaoke disc information as this collection is designed for playback from a hard disc drive and NOT physical CD Rom discs.   This collection is to help those new to Karaoke presenting obtain an affordable start and once downloaded it should be topped up by you subscribing to a monthly Karaoke disc or download service.   You do not require an internet connection to play back this collection as you will have the physical data on your hard drive.   You are advised to keep the same file name format:

The song file name will take this format:

Snake Oil Willy Band - I Don't Look Good Naked Anymore [SBI Karaoke].cdg
Snake Oil Willy Band - I Don't Look Good Naked Anymore [SBI Karaoke].mp3

Where SBI is the Karaoke Label information.  SC=Sound Choice CB=Chartbuster SF=Sunfly and so on.  All tracks are contained in a single WinRAR Archive folder

2.  Each torrent will contain over 1200 songs in Alpha/Numerical Order from A to Z over many parts or Vol.  OUTSIDE of each RAR Archive will be a plain text file listing the contents of each Archive so you can make an informed decision on whether to commit to a full download or not.   The collection now offers multiple Karaoke Label Choice for 2017 on the more popular tunes.

3.  During last year I have gone back to my original CD Karaoke discs and re ripped tracks at 320 kpbs Audio sample rates for better audio sound quality where possible.  This job is on going as it takes a long time.  Audio quality varies now from 128 to 320 as a result of this major change.  After this I will be giving away my CD Karaoke discs to local DJ's as they are taking up too much space and not being used.

4.  Errors continue to be found and corrected.   Duplications continue to be found and removed.   Where errors and duplications still exist it is your responsibility to correct or remove them.   Always remove the smaller sized track as that will have the worst audio sample speeds.  Over 38% of the collection is now ripped at 320 kbps Audio @ 41000 Hz.

5.  Each Torrent will be between 4 and 5 Gigabytes in size.   Slow or dial up download speeds will not be tolerated.    Those peers who do not know how to torrent and can not download at sensible speeds also can not as a rule upload to the swarm and are nothing but leeches.   Together let's make 2017 the year slow download speeds are a thing of the past.   The torrent will be seeded by a 1GB box in Europe and there is simply no excuse for slow download speeds.

6.  Due to restrictions on the use of RAR Archives this collection will be posted in the other/other section on the Pirate Bay.  Where other sites allow they will be found in the Music/Other or Music/Karaoke section where possible.

The next part or Vol will be uploaded to all the major public torrent sites once the previous Vol is well seeded and can survive on its own.   Re Seed requests will only be handled at the end of the collection as I will require all my upload bandwidth to seed the current torrent.   Any other info will be posted here as the collection goes on.

OK gang the way I am forced to extract the songs from the native software leaves loads of room for errors as I have to export the Karaoke back in original CDG+MP3 format and there is a file number limit on the software, hence the splitting it up bit.   However I have managed to extract the entire collection now with no error, but it is a SINGLE RAR ARCHIVE of over 301 Gigabytes, which in its self can cause downloaders problems if there hardware is slow and obsolete.

However the great news is that this torrent is well seeded and has a 1GB potential download speed to you, if you can handle that.   The seedbox is in Europe but I have seen peers in Asia and North America getting speeds in excess of 100 megabits per second.   At a more realistic 10 t0 15 megabits per second this download will take 48 hours.   If it takes a lot longer than that then you have a problem and should check out that before attempting to join this torrent.

The torrent link is here:

Enjoy.

The whole collection as a single 301GB RAR Archive is to be found on the Pirate Bay by searching

Rigmar Karaoke Collection April 2017

WARNING:  This is a very large download and should not be attempted if your download speeds are below 1.25MB/s or 10 Megabit per second.

WARNING:  The RAR Archive will take a very long time to decompress depending on the hardware speed at your end.    You will require a 500GB storage space to store it on.
