RiffTrax Presents VOD - Atom Age Vampire (Riffed By Matthew J. Elliott & Ian Potter)

Once in every generation, a film comes along that truly lives up to its title.

Had the people who dubbed Seddok the Heir of Satan from Italian into English not decided to rename what resulted Atom Age Vampire, this could have been one of those movies. But they did call it that, despite the fact that there are no vampires, and nothing particularly connected to the Atom Age, and that's something we all have to live with.

What we have here is a sordid tale of a not-really-hideously-deformed nightclub dancer, a horndog scientist and his bespectacled girlfriend or maybe wife, who maybe dies or maybe doesn't (it's all in how the movie's edited). People are then subsequently murdered by something that could fit into a variety of categories, but most definitely IS NOT a vampire of the atom age.

It's all connected to the deformed dancer, who, honestly, is not that badly deformed - if she just styled her hair a little differently, not even her own mother would know. But how? Only you and the editor will know for sure.

Uh, considering that I purchased it on the Official RiffTrax site, downloaded it from the Official RiffTrax site, and that it's in "My Library" on the Official RiffTrax site... YES. Blush

I was wondering, I knew it sounded familiar but couldn't find it. Must have been one of those mystery ones that gets pulled for copyright or song right issues (not usually that quickly though)

Fun fact: it was also a film that was riffed by One Man Band.

There was never an email about it. I saw it suddenly show up in the "Catalog" > "Full riff catalog" on the site when I was checking information for other releases. I was initially perplexed about the Release Date being displayed on the page as "April 19, 2019" because I know it wasn't there last Friday. There was a Trailer for Atom Age Vampire playing periodically today in between the Trailer for Scared To Death (1980). The title still had not been added to the "Latest RiffTrax Movies" slider or the "Trending RiffTrax Movies" list though. It was probably just accidentally released earlier than it was originally scheduled to... Tongue

Speaking of the catalog, does anyone find it odd that they got the Carnival of Souls with the Mike Nelson commentary in it and yet you can't buy it? Why put it up there?

Carnival Of Souls (Mike Only)

Because Mike Nelson knows I Gotta Catch 'Em All and he apparently derives some kind of sick pleasure from making sure I never will... Tongue

I know it's there, but there's no "Add to Cart" option for some reason.
