I was really surprised at the beauty of the gorgeous sets & moody, ethereal atmosphere of this film. Venetia Stevenson & Betta St. John are exquisitely lovely; I'd never heard or seen either of them before! While not the first by any means, City of the Dead really captures the paranoiac spirit of what was just around the corner in British & American Cinema's obsession with the hidden all-powerful Satanic Cult trope. Thx so much for this upgrade Riffling. Top Shelf Quality from you ALWAYS! : )
