Well I can't say much about the torrent other than it's legit. However, the format of the videos leaves a lot to be desired because I would have preferred that they had been ripped into individual video files instead of now having 4 giant DVDs on my hard drive. Just the same the fact these are classics that make me smile more make up for any annoyances. .
Produced by Hal Roach spanning the years 1922 to 1944 the Our Gang series of short films was about poor neighborhood children just being kids. They behaved relatively natural, got into trouble and had adventures that were simple yet entertaining. It showed how far a child's imagination can go if they were just left on their own to develop it. Such things as an automated car wash but instead of cars it was babies or a fire truck built out of junk. There was no limit to what could become of a simple day of skipping school and going fishing
The Our Gang franchise was a total of 220 shorts and one feature film titled "General Spanky." There were also more than 41 different child actors which included such favorites a Spanky, Alfalfa, Froggy, Wheezer, Chubby, Stymie and Buckwheat. Perhaps the only negative thing I can say about this series was that we no longer live in a world so innocent that we could be members of an "Our Gang" in our individual neighborhoods.
