Rocket Robin Hood ran from 1966 to 1969 and was written by Ralph Bakshi (Heckle and Jeckle, Spider man, Fritz the cat, Lord of the rings). Each episode was 22 minutes long and the series was aired in Canada. If you watch carefully you can find shots that were used in Spider Man were also used in this show.
All the cast of companions of the traditional Robin Hood are present here too. The strong unintelligent Little John; Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet and Maid Marian. They live on New Sherwood Forest Asteroid in the year 3000 where their mission is to make the life of Prince John and the idiotic Sheriff of N.O.T.T. (National Outer Space Terrestrial Territories) difficult. Just to keep things interesting there are other villains and warlords that must be confronted.

This cartoon is kind of campy and very much the sort of thing that would entice the imagination of young children and nut jobs like myself.
