[Release] OfflineBay v2 - Open source and No more Java dependency
#1
As i promised, OfflineBay 2.0 with no Java dependency is here. I took the past few months go on a completely new journey of learning Electron and developing OfflineBay 2.0. Also in the favor of majority i decided to make this project open-source. So no more conspiracies and no more complaints. I hope a lot more developers could get involved in this now since it's written in Javascript. So hop on....  Cool

Idea Support OfflineBay (and me)

Involvement as a contributor by adding a few lines of code, fixing a bug, respond to issues, testing etc… would be one of the most helpful methods you could support the project. If you’re not a programmer but a creative person, you could definitely get involved in the GUI part of OfflineBay.
If you have some spare coins laying around, you could throw some this way to buy me a coffee…

Since i’m also a video creator on YouTube, you can give me some support by Subscribing to my channel and sharing some of my videos.

Idea Themes

Since OfflineBay now support themes you can create your own themes and share them with the community. Also you can download any theme from there.

A big thanks go to this clueless sucker for the challenge. It was one of the biggest motivations.  Big Grin

With this new release, I want to be the first to say that I am excited, and I look forward to contributing in developing this project. Especially since it's now in my language.

Just checked. Looks good. One thing, word 'depreciated' should be changed to 'deprecated'. Also it'll be good if you can switch the site to OfflineBay v2 default theme color palette.

I would suggest changing the contact button to redirect to your GitHub or SuprBay page that way people can contact you in a meaningful way.

I was thinking the same thing. I only connected it to YT because they had messaging. They just announced that they're getting rid of the feature.  Undecided

Why isn't the instant search recommended? Was there some bug you encountered with it? It seems to me that instant search should be the only option.

Edit:
[RFC] Tidy up search.js

Lemme review the PR ASAP. What i found is that sometimes instant could break the clusterize process. Feel free to do some test cases. If you can trace it let's do a PR, make the feature stable and take out the not recommended part.
