From the Back Cover
You know that UNIX is the standard operating system of the Internet, and you want--no, you need-- to get on board. You're no moron. It's something you can figure out. You would like a little lift, though. The Complete Idiot's Guide to UNIX is what you need to get up to speed quickly, and in good humor. This book gives you the straightforward scoop with the most real-world impact.
About the Author
Bill Wagner is the co-author of Dynamic HTML Unleashed. He has also been a technical editor on several titles including Sams Teach Yourself CGI in a Week and Sams Teach Yourself Dynamic HTML in a week. He has wide-range programming experience in C/C++, PERL, csh, bash, VB, BASIC, JavaScript, Java, Tcl/Tk and extensive administration experience (NetWare 3.11-4.0, LANtastic, Windows for Workgroups, Windows NT 3.51-4.0, AIX 4.1.x, SunOS 4.1.3, Solaris 2.5-6, and Linux: OpenLinux Base, OpenLinux Server, Red Hat, and Slackware).
Note: This Book is freely available from the Internet Archive, or Open Library, but I can't download it. The nature of this request it for a PDF, or ePub version that could be used offline without any restrictions. I'm aware of the workarounds, but I'm unable to do them myself, so I really need someone else to please do it for me.
Thanks!
CS.
