I'll be happy to post an updated video, but I wonder if they'll make it obvious or just quietly switch it out. As of now, the file in my library has the same name and file size, so I assume it's the old/current one.

That would be the exact same assumption that I have. I really appreciate you volunteering to post the High TV Update when it finally arrives. In the meantime, I wouldn't even worry about it. I've been checking that page once a day for the last week, and I'll definitely let you know as soon as the "High (TV) (1.32 GB)" file information finally changes...
P.S. - If the Killers From Outer Space video still isn't updated after another week, then I'll just contact RiffTrax Customer Support and report back here.

This breaking news just in... Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.
I just checked and it's still the same file (or, at least, same name and file size). I'm thinking it's a lost cause for anyone unhappy with the quality (at least, from Rifftrax).

Please download the High TV again from the same link evilmojo. The High TV Upgrade was apparently already posted, but RiffTrax forgot to update the file information on the page.

It IS in fact a different print! (Why didn't you speak up before, Servo? Deciding on which voice to use, perhaps?)
And I can't insert the the comparison image here without hosting it myself, which is way too much effort.
But, yeah, I'll upload the new one when my connection cooperates. If you like the old one, better download and savor it from here, like a vinyl guy denying digital. Thanks, Tom.
Today my wifi isn't out to kill me. So:

I just got confirmation yesterday when I emailed RiffTrax Support yet again. Since they could never give me an ETA the first two times I contacted them, I asked if they could please email me as soon as "Version 2" was available. Obviously they never did though, or else I would've reported it sooner. According to the comments on that page, it looks like it was finally upgraded towards the end of March. After consistently checking that page every week for the rest of February and even most of March, I had pretty much given up hope.

Thanks for posting this comment yesterday, which spurred me to email them once again. Otherwise it clearly would've been much longer before we finally found out about this.

I can post Contact Sheet comparisons between "V1" and "V2" when I get some time later. I actually do save all the old HQ MPEG-2's and High TV's whenever possible for posterity.

It's hilarious that you now call the Original High TV V1 the "Collector's Edition". But just to avoid confusion for everyone else here, that link is the same one that was posted here...

^ This is the current High TV V2 link. Thank you evilmojo!
Update: After quickly checking the "New version" (V2), the difference in video quality is night & day compared to the "Old version" (V1). The "New version" (V2) is outstanding!

A big thumbs up to everyone for keeping up on this weird case. I've made note in my tome of riff links.

It is, indeed, a story for the ages. When there's an apocalypse, mutant people will be telling their children about it in nursery rhyme form.

Could some kind soul re-share the "New version" aka "V2" of Killers from Outer Space?
Many thanks!

Thworldisyours' link is still up, though I'm not sure which version it is.
